Reflexology
ButtonReflexology treatment
Reflexology is all about bringing balance and a sense of wellbeing to the body. It is suitable for all ages, yet it is not be used as an alternative to seeking medical advice.
The benefits of reflexology are very individual, but in general as you rest and enjoy relaxation, it often reduces tension, improves mood and aids restful sleep.
Before the treatment begins a full medical history will be taken and an explanation given for what to expect during and after the session.
You will be required to remove shoes and socks, then be seated in a comfortable recliner chair. Pressure is then applied to the feet and lower legs as the reflexes are worked. The pressure can be adapted to suit your preference (it's not ticklish!). Overall the treatment should be relaxing and clients leave feeling recharged, calm and happy.
After the treatment:
After a treatment some people may feel they need to use the toilet more often initially, feel a little tired, cold or thirsty, but these are normal reactions and should pass within 24-48 hours. It is recommended a person drinks some water and avoids strenuous exercise for the rest of the day.
Reflexology :
60 minute treatment - £55 *
45 minute treatment - £45
30 minute treatment - £30
* home visits (within 30 minutes drive from London, N13) costs £60 and will be for 1 hour, which includes a short consultation.
Maternity Reflexology is also available.
Indian Head Massage
ButtonIndian Head Massage
Indian Head Massage is an incredibly relaxing treatment and a great way to relieve everyday stress by applying varying pressure to the upper back, shoulders, neck and scalp. Massage also promotes a sense of wellbeing and can aid restful sleep.
You will be seated in an upright position supported with cushions for comfort. You will only need to remove jacket, tie, jewellery as appropriate. If possible I recommend a t-shirt is worn for the treatment. No oils are used and the pressure of the massage will be adjusted to suit individual preference. Massage is applied to the whole shoulder area, neck, scalp and tension areas on the face (eyebrows, cheekbones, jawline and temples, all of which are optional).
Indian Head Massage:
45 minute treatment - £45
30 minute treatment - £30
Hot Stone Massage
I usually include some use of hot stones with both Foot Reflexology and Indian Head Massage to warm up the muscles, but this is purely optional and of no extra cost. The effect of heat provides relaxation to the autonomic nervous system and feels blissful!
For Foot Reflexology, the hot stones will be used to massage the lower leg, calf area and feet, with smaller stones placed between the toes. In order for the stones to glide against the skin, I will apply a small amount of organic beeswax which will soak in by the end of the session.
For Indian Head Massage, I will not need to use any wax as the hot stones can be felt through clothing, are pressed & held against the tension hot spots. Smaller stones are used in the neck area also.
What are the benefits of using hot stones?
- increases circulation
- increases elimination of waste products
- reduces muscle tension
- promotes relaxation
- increases action of lymphatic function
Facial Reflexology
ButtonFacial Reflexology
Enjoy the unique therapeutic benefits of this award winning method of facial reflexology by Ziggie Bergman.
This wonderful relaxing treatment, much like foot reflexology, focuses on balancing Reflex points which connect to the entire body. Working these reflexes it encourages the body's natural healing process. Everyday stress can show in the face, whether we frown or clench our jaw, often without realising it. By relaxing, feeling soothed and calm with this soft touch therapy it will enhance your sense of wellbeing.
Before the session, a medical history will be taken. During the session you will be seated comfortably in a recliner chair, your hair will be covered with a towel and a blanket placed over you for warmth.
After a gentle facial cleansing, a small amount of facial elixir oil is applied to the skin. Not only does this nourish and hydrate the skin but it assists with the smoothing techniques and massage. Once the treatment starts, gentle pressure is applied to different reflex points of the face and you should find this deeply relaxing, maybe even nodding off to sleep!
Aftercare information:
